Annoying PSD File

Postby pipa1949 on Mon Jul 28, 2008 10:54 am

Can anyone tell me why after working with certain photos in photoshop elements 6 they become psd files in my pictures? And can I get the photo back in my pictures, I only use elements to work with my pictures, but I don't use it to store them.

PSD files have Layer's

Postby CarlingBlackLabel on Sun Aug 03, 2008 6:01 am

Does your pictures make use of layers?

I believe that the only type that saves layer information is .PSD hence why this is the default type when your saving, it's a safety feature incase you need to amend the layers at a future date.

Default file type

This is really just the default file type for any picture that you work with using Photoshop. Just watch a few of my videos and you will soon see how to save your work as a jpg file.
