Photoshop Elements 6 and Watermarks

Photoshop Elements 6 and Watermarks

Postby Foxfire on Wed Aug 13, 2008 12:36 pm

Having watched your video tutorial on making a web Gallery using PSE 6, I felt that I need to protect my images from being used without my permission.

I feel, just stating that copyright is mine, is not enough to deterr some people and need something that would make it unattractive to steal the image in the first place.

The only possible solution I came up with, is to attach a watermark on each image.
How can I do this with Photoshop elements 6 ?
Have you produced a how-to- .... video yet?

Is there another inexpensive way of protecting your images from imagenabbers.

Another option would be to host your pictures in flickr.

No problem, in any case if you want to create your hosted photo gallery on the net, you could not use the flikr set-up.

But thanks for the thought, in fact i was hoping Jack would answer this too, but I guess he does not check his site very much

I see he hasn't been here, or at least posted in awhile. I only mentioned Flickr because I know the Sony Blog uses it and I have used it in teh past for hosting pictures at one of teh game forums I mod at.

I am sorry but this forum does not e-mail me when there are new posts here.

Yes you can water mark your pictures. I will do a video on this soon.

Thanks for running this thread.

Hi, I use a watermark for my piccies. I opened up a blank file and typed in the text I wish to use. Crop the image down to suit the text. Save as a brush and then select the brush and stamp your pictures where you like.

I have also created a diagonal brush tool with the copyright on to suit which type of orientation I want to use it on.

Hope this helps,

Mick.
