Text question.

Text question.

Postby cbsmommie4life on Thu Dec 11, 2008 6:24 pm

I have had element 7 for the past few weeks. I work on graphics and other things for fun. Anyways, I made a digital scrapbook graphic but it wont show my text. I have put the text all the way up to 1000 and still nothing. I even went and resized my image to 450x350 pxi and still NOTHING. I then tried to open up a blank template and wanted to persue writting on there to see if the text would still show up. Even on a blank template it wont show me my text. I tried all different colors, sizes and things that I put words on prior to this issue and nothing is working. I was really hoping someone can help me figure this out. I'm not sure if I hit a button and its causing my text to not show up. But as it stands now I can't work on a single thing and put words on it due it not working on any of my projects OR a transparent/blank templete. *sigh*

Thanks everyone!

Test is a NEw Layer

Postby jackstech on Wed Dec 17, 2008 4:30 pm

In working with text, make sure that you watch you layers. You want the text to be the top most layer, if not it will never show up because everything else will be laying over it.

Think of it this way, if you lay the sports section of the new paper on the floor and then cover it with the help wanted section, you will never see the text on the sports page.

Also make sure that the text layer is selected, this is the little binoculars in front of its layer, if it is off or not showing then the text layer is off and will never show.

I hope this helps let me know I would like to hear from you.
