Should Elements handle printing or the printer?

Postby tebphotos on Sat Dec 20, 2008 5:37 pm

I just added a new Canon printer which seems to do a good job on handling color prints. However, Elements also can handle the color. Which does a better job? I don't want them to conflict but do want to get the best prints.
The Scott Kelby book says to let Elements handle it but goes into lots of various settings which make my head spin.
What have you done in your setups?
Thanks for your help.

I print from Elements

Postby jackstech on Mon Jan 05, 2009 9:07 pm

Normally I just print my pictures from Elements I either print from the editor or I print directly from the organizer.

I never really played much with the setting, but I do know that each printer has a color file that you can install onto your computer these are normally used so that what you see on the monitor is what you will get out of your printer.

Best of luck and thanks for the question.
