Understanding highlights and shadows, adjusting levels

Understanding highlights and shadows, adjusting levels

Postby kkreations on Mon Oct 13, 2008 12:12 am

Hi Jack,

I'm taking an adobe photoshop cs3 class and am finding that it is quite difference from the photoshop elements 6 software. We have spent two classes learning about adjusting color levels by identifying the white, black and gray areas in our pictures. I have tried to put into practice what I have learned in the class, but because of the differences in the programs, I am still having a tough time getting it to work in photoshop elements 6. I know you go into adjust lighting and levels, but just can't get it to work. Any ideas or helpful tutorials? Thanks for your help.

I also have watched a lot of videos on using Photoshop, I then play with the tools that Elements has and I try many different things.

If you can maybe give me more information I will try to do the same thing in Elements and also try using more effects then directly working with the lighting.

Thanks for writing in.
